Floods, Hurricanes, Droughts, and Tornadoes are some examples of natural disaster. A natural disaster can be defined as "a sudden event that causes widespread destruction, lots of collateral damage, or loss of life, brought about by forces other than the acts of human beings." The worst flood, hurricane, drought, and tornado in history were the 1931 China floods, the Galveston hurricane of 1900, the Chinese drought of 1941, and the Daulatpur-Salturia Tornado in 1989. Combined, they caused the deaths of 7 million people. Imagine, there have been countless amounts of floods, hurricanes, droughts, and tornadoes and only these four have killed 7 million people. Imagine what they have done to the environment, cities, towns, and our neighborhoods. The environment has become very degraded (treated badly) and has become very damaged because of these natural disasters.
